Hearts of Glass

Listening to: Blondie - Heart of Glass

Here's some true rock n roll inspiration and absolute gorgeousness, courtesy of Debby Harry. She was amazing in Blondie, as you can see I'm reliving her glory days and listening to their greatest hits. i think I'm going a little crazy from being stuck in my room trying to revise! I've got four exams, all in the next 2 1/2 weeks.... the pitiful amount of revision should be making me crap myself, but i think Ive got to the point of education where it has left me brain dead, without caring!! uh oh.... Where's my usual panic adrenaline to motivate me??!

But anyway. i know how everyone has hang-ups about their body. it really pisses me off how i can get so paranoid about the way my legs/thighs/belly look and whether I'm baring too much or dressing a little too... 'out there' or something! in 15 years time, I'm sure there's going to be a fat chunk of my wardrobe which would definitely not be 'appropriate' for my age, so Ive got to make the most of it now!

Dammit, I'm young, i should be able to make fashion mistakes!! this city is way to small, you feel really dressed up if your not in jeans/jogging bottoms/hoodies/Ugg boats (yuck.).... but luckily, i physically cannot bring myself to leave the house in any of those! i don't mind jeans, i just hardly wear them.

my mid-week resolution, is to not give fuck and dress how i like and ignore the boring uniform..make the most of my youth!!

... inspiration taken from Ms Harry....

ahoy!

Listening to: La Roux - For the Kill (skreamy remix)

Aye aye! dear lord do i love the nautical style! i know it may sound like im jumping on the bandwagon, and am a little late on loving the sailor style, but the amount of stripes and anchors i've discovered lurking within my wardrobe shows that this sneaky statement has infiltrated my life without really knowing!

i really love the anchor, its such a classic nautical symbol which looks kick ass cool as a tattoo, like Gossip's Beth Ditto and Kate Moss. i love traditional tattoos
*that explains my stars and heart tatts*
but now im thinkin about an anchor...or maybe the classic swallow?? who knows!

i purchased this kitsch anchor pendant from ebay for.... wait for it.... £1!!!!! It was free P&P as well- boom!

RIGHT, only 5 days until the dissertation (which has totally taken over my life) is due. it appears under control but man, does it make life glum... going out tonight... serious steam needs to blown!

Getting through it

Listening to: CSS - Lets make love and listen to death from above

Never blogged before, but ive been reading so many other inspirational ones that i figure i might have a bash at it. Who know's if anyone will ever read this shizz though..

Just got back from A's housewarming party on the weekend. theyre usually seriously epic and i cant party as hard and long as her waster mates. i try my best though.
I got spun out at around 3am, but managed to stay semi-alive and was chatting with randomers and R who was in a similar state on the bedroom floor, using a book as a pillow. i was on a double bed chock-a-block with thick cushions, it was more effort for him to find a book than swipe a pillow!
The bass drummed through the floorboards into my skull till midday on sunday when the surviving few remembered the pub was opening. Even though i was dying for precious sleep, the sound of northern S singing 'fix up look shaaaarp, sweet like tropicannaaa' as they left was entertaining enough.
That house was gorgeous 24hours before the carnage began, and was soon a beer soaked stink pit of hangovers and comedowns...we soon taxiied over to C's house for warm beds and chinese take out, not that my stomach could stretch to more than a couple of weetabix.

Fast forward 13hours and im back in my house down south with a dissertation looming over me, but a belly uncomfortably full of cold chinese and chocolate milkshake. Not good. Frankly, if i attempted the library in this state, i would probably spazz out and go on a killing spree and paper cut everyone to death with egyptian textbooks.
Roll on life...
